In the years leading to prohibition, Detroit was home to more than 100 craft breweries! This T-shirt honors one such legend - Cadillac Brewing Company, which bore the family crest of Detroit founder Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, brewed beer on the city's east side, just a few blocks west of where the Heidelberg Project now stands. The company's original name, Union Brewing Company, was changed to Cadillac from 1934 to 1936 before returning to the Union name and subsequently closing in 1936.
